FAQ We have compiled a selection of our most commonly asked questions. If you have any other questions please don’t hesitate to reach out. Licensing How many licenses do I need? Our basic license covers up to five computers and allows web fonts to be used on an unlimited number of websites (as long as none of the websites exceed 500,000 visitors per month). Can I modify your typeface? Yes! Although, if you want to modify any of the fonts in font editing software, it would probably be best to contact us because wouldn’t it be easier to have the designer of the typeface modify it? Can I use your typefaces on the web? Of course. All JTD typefaces can be purchased for the web here. Our standard license allows for 500,000 unique visitors to your page (and each license is good for an unlimited number of domains). If you have a larger audience or have any other needs, contact us before ordering to work out any licensing arrangements. Some JTD typefaces are available for web use at Typekit. Can I use your typefaces in my App? All JTD typefaces can be purchased here for app embedding via a separate App License. Each license is good for one app for one year. If you have a larger audience or have any other needs, contact us before ordering to work out any licensing arrangements. What if I need to license your type for more users/years/viewers than your store allows? You are able to license up to 50 users through the online store. For cases above 50 users, contact us before ordering and let us know the number of users and locations so I can send you quote. Trial Fonts Do you offer trial fonts? Yes! Just go to the typeface of your choice and select “Buy”. From there, choose the “Trial” option to access your free trial type! What are the restrictions on trial fonts? Use them for mockups, or whatever you want. Just don’t use them on the web, in an app or for commercial work. Array is slightly different. It includes a full character set and can be used for development work without any other license. Are the trial fonts different? The character set in a trial font is much smaller; there are no accented characters, small caps, alternate numerals, etc. Just A–Z, a–z, 0–9, and some basic punctuation. In some cases, like Essonnes, alternates are included. Array is slightly different. It includes a full character set and can be used for development work without any other license. Discounts Do you offer discounts? JTD type is rarely discounted. That being said, I do offer discounts for schools and non-profits; all you have to do is contact us. Do you offer student licensing? Yes! contact us and we will set you up. Website What fonts are you using here? We are using the proportional variation of Array for most things (such as this text), Elfreth for titles, and Transducer for navigation and other little things. How do I access the fonts in my account? At the moment, we don’t have login system (although there is one in the works). In the meantime, if you need to redownload a purchase, just contact us and we’ll be happy to send them to you. What if I have other questions? Just contact us and we’d be happy to answer them for you.
